What you need to know about WhatsApp’s new chat filters feature ,WhatsApp is said to be testing a new feature for all users called chat filters. The new tool will be available only to business accounts and will allow them to more efficiently manage many chats. Everything you need to know about the feature is right here.
According to a new WABetaInfo report, the chat filters feature will be available to Android, Desktop, and iOS users, making it easier to find chats. Unread chats, contacts, non-contacts, and groups will be among the filters available. When you choose one of these options, only those chats will appear on your screen, making it easier to explore.
“As you can see in this screenshot, when touching the search bar on Desktop, the filter button is available to business accounts: thanks to this feature, WhatsApp is making it easier to search for unread chats, contacts, non-contacts, and groups,” according to the report.
Standard WhatsApp accounts will be able to use the same functionality in a future update of the program, with one exception: the filter option will always be available, even when you are not searching for chats and messages,” it noted.
A screenshot of the feature illustrates how it will seem once it is implemented. Take a look at it after the break.
The chat filters feature is presently in beta and only WhatsApp Desktop beta v2.2216.40 may use it. The capability, along with other features that the platform has been developing, such as rapid answers and identification of ‘legal’ identities of people who have allowed UPI payments in the app, is expected to arrive in stable versions of WhatsApp Business later.
